What’s my story people ask me? Why did I become a Plus Size Model?
I started Plus Size Modeling years ago- when it wasn’t even “cool” or “accepted” and many people didn’t even have a clue what a “Plus Size Model” even was!

I did so because I wanted to change America’s perception of beauty. At that times there was NO clothing that was flattering or sexy for the “average” or “plus size” woman.

I wanted to show that YES! no matter what size or shape you are..
YOU CAN BE SEXY AT ANY.. I repeat ANY Size!

Throughout the years, I’ve gained enormous experience on what to do and what NOT to do in order to get modeling jobs. I’ve spent tons of time, energy and money to learn all the tricks of the trade you need to know to succeed as a Plus Size Model.

and immediately girls and women from all over the world would email and ask:

“People tell me I have a pretty face and could be a plus size model. How did you do it? and how can I do the same?”

My biggest piece of advice is: You Can Do It!.. Get to Work!

Now, if you have the passion and drive to succeed you still might be feeling stuck.

I know I was.

The reality is most people (especially Plus Size Models) do not get signed to the “big” agencies.. and even if they do that doesn’t mean you are going to get work from your agent.

The truth is.. you become a product.. YOU are the business.

If you take yourself seriously, and realize no body can get you further than the power of YOU! you will go far.

Plus-size models participate in a variety of modeling jobs including print work, runway shows, and fit or informal modeling. Fashion modeling is the category aspiring models usually think of when they dream of being a model. Fashion plus modeling can include a magazine cover or layout, representing a plus-size manufacturer in print advertisements, or strutting down the catwalk in the latest Lane Bryant lingerie.

Requirements Can Include:

Between 5′8″ and 6′0″
5′9″ is pretty much minimum for larger markets though Wilhelmina in NYC does represent a few girls who are 5′7″ and 5′8″.

Size 12, 14, 16
Sizes 10 and 18/20 are also used, but are not as common.

Toned
You may be a “plus size,” but you may have to be in shape if you model swimwear, lingerie or fitness gear.
