Obviously no one who is just starting out in any kind of job is going to have any kind of experience to talk about, but one has to make a start somewhere. So how can one become a plus size model? What can you do to make that all important start when you have no experience?
One you can get informed and educated about fashion. This means that you know about the latest trends and fashions – subscribe to magazines, attend fashion shows, read up about designers and fashion weeks and so on.
It also means that you develop a sense of style your very own. You need to figure out how to dress clever for your body type and size. You cannot be a model unless you know how to project yourself in the best possible manner.
You need to bone up on proper make up tactics, and understand more about your own skin, to see what looks good on you, and what just won’t work.
You also know how to carry yourself, and be able to walk confidently and with a good posture. Practice walking and posing, and figure out your best angles – you can ask a friend to take photos and videos and help you out with this before a professional photographer develop a portfolio for you or before you approach a modeling agency.
So you have decided that you have what it takes to be a plus size model; good for you!
However where to make a start can be confusing, to say nothing of overwhelming! So where do you start if you want to become a plus size model, but have acquired no experience as yet?
