Los Angeles, CA, October 8, 2008 - October marks the one-year anniversary of the provocative and controversial “Love Your Body” campaign featured on CBS Entertainment Tonight’s “The Insider.”

International Plus Size Model, Nancy Hayssen, posed totally nude for cameras and inspired women to start loving their bodies.

This revolution became an instant sensation as the ultimate antithesis to today’s media standards of “thin is in.” Proving to the world that beauty really comes in all shapes and sizes, “The Insider’s” host, Pat O’Brien, called Nancy Hayssen “plus-sized perfect and full-figured fabulous.”

The “Sexy Plus Size” movement first began in response to an anti-anorexia billboard that showed 60lbs. French model, Isabelle Caro, posing naked, her emaciated body intended to send a message to the fashion world.

October is breast cancer awareness month. I had an aunt who died from breast cancer, before I was born. I have known several people who have been afflicted by this scarily common disease, some of whom have been lucky enough to have detected it in time, some not so lucky. Because Breast cancer is the second most frequently diagnosed form of cancer in women after skin cancer, and is the second cause of cancer death in women after lung cancer, we all need to make ourselves more aware about it. HOLLYWOOD NOW CELEBRATES LOVE YOUR BODY DAY, REAL WOMEN WITH HOST KIM COLES IN WEST HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood NOW, City of West Hollywood, Women’s Advisory Board, Chenese Lewis Productions host community celebration, entertainment & “Real Women” Fashion Show

WEST HOLLYWOOD, September 23, 2008 — Hollywood NOW, the local Chapter of the 42-year-old national organization working to bring women and men into full equality, celebrates Love Your Body Day 2.

The Chapter seeks to turnaround the negative body image and stereotype created by Hollywood and the media to promote a healthy body image for women & girls. The pinnacle of the festivities – the “Real Women” Fashion Show – will begin at 3 pm.

Models of all shapes and sizes will be flaunting the styles of various plus-size designers and retailers. Love Your Body Day is open to all ages, and will be hosted by Kim Coles – actress, comedienne, author, playwright, and TV personality, best known as “Sinclair” on LIVING SINGLE, with appearances on SIX FEET UNDER, IN LIVING COLOR, ONE ON ONE, and THE VIEW.
