The World’s largest and longest running online dating site is Match.com. Over a half a dozen close friends and family I know have married off this site.

The keyword search really sets Match.com apart from other websites. I LOVE this feature because it really helps narrow down what and who you are looking for.

Match.com “you might like” feature gives you profiles of people you might be interested in thus opening up a pool of more people you might never knew was out there. Also check out the personality survey and quizlets called “self-discover” to help you get to know yourself better.

Lavalife is a newer online dating site with a younger crowd. The site is hugely popular but quite different from other online dating sites.

For one thing, Lavalife has a more “adult angle” offering three separate categories: “Dating”, “Relationships” and here’s the difference, “Intimate Encounters.” They offer a “pay as you go” system which some people find effective. You’ll also find lots of great articles, advice and other fun.

Matchmaker has a few more in-depth questions which you’ll want to fill out because it will narrow your search and increase your likelihood of finding love faster.

There is a quite a few banners ads, pop-ups and pre-checked boxes urging you to sign up to outside offers which are a little overwhelming.

Thousands of new profiles are added every week, so residents of even the smallest towns should be able to find their “special someone” who is local to them. More female than male, 54% earn over $60,000 per year; 78% over the age of 35 (higher than any other site).

Around for a decade, Date.com has grown to be a site where millions of singles search for new relationships. Fairly well organized, user friendly, and clutter free.
