My words of advice to this guy:

GET A GRIP!

Mike, this guy calling in from Virginia sounded so well — pathetic.

He said, “I’m not sure WHAT I’m doing WRONG.”

He kept blaming himself for the lack of love being reciprocated to him from his girlfriend.

So, what does he do?

He keeps GIVING MORE!

If he takes her to dinner, buys her more gifts, more flowers… keeps letting her walk all over and ABUSE him - then, yes, THEN she’s going to LOVE HIM.

If you don’t approve of yourself, others won’t approve of you - period.

Believe in yourself, know your self-worth and you’ll see others will have a newfound sense of respect for you. You’ll become more confident in your own skin and “magically” people will be attracted to YOU.

What’s the lesson here: Stop cheating on YOURSELF.

So many people tell themselves “I’m not good enough”, “I’m ugly”, “I’m not perfect so no one will love me”… the list goes on and on.

What are you telling YOURSELF which is limiting love to flow into YOUR life?

One belief I used to tell myself is: “Why get close to someone if that person will just leave me?”

One day I woke up and realized, who cares.

I realized I deserve to be loved as we all do.

After listening to Mike’s confused voice, I asked him:

“Where’s your confidence?”

“Well, uh, uh… ” he says.

Clearly, he had none.

As the “Sexy at Any Size” project has evolved this past year, it’s clear we as humans all strive for a better sense of self-worth - women AND men.

You are good enough.

Today tell yourself: “I ACCEPT MYSELF”

It might seem “corny” or “funny” at first, but believe me IT WORKS if you do it!

… then watch slowly as positive experiences and people start coming to you and
you begin to attract what and who you desire into your life.
