“I’m off to the Emmys!” said my cousin Val In her little Sexy black dress last night.
My family and me looked at her and agreed,
“looking like that it’s destiny you come back with an Emmy!”
Valerie Landes, my cousin and Series Producer of PBS’ NATURAL HEROES received two EMMY® Awards last night from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences regional ceremony at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
Val won “Outstanding Achievement” in two categories:
Children/Youth and Education/Schools!
This happens to be the second year in a row she’s won an Emmy!
All show episodes share the common theme of people making a difference for our environment to help change the world in a positive way.
Val’s creative projects include Hideaway a Holocaust Film for Kids, Photobooth Fantastic and now the multiple Emmy award winning show:
She is an inspiration to young women entrepreneurs to succeed in creative arts & business as well as a shining example of the power of the self to be successful.
“From composters in Brooklyn to tree-sitters in South Central L.A., we are proud to showcase the best independent filmmakers who are turning their lens on the natural world,” said my cousin Val.
Films include telling the stories of urban kids getting their hands in the dirt and connecting with nature for the first time.
“The feedback from viewers has been spectacular. It’s great knowing the program has really inspired people to take action in their own lives. They feel empowered with the knowledge that their choices and actions can and do make a powerful difference!”
It’s no surprise Val won the Award.
She deserves every ounce of recognition for her hard work and dedication to enriching the lives of others.
We look forward to all the exciting new ventures to come!
Remembering the night . . .
