Every Thursday night we have a creative “girls night” on our property . . .

* This night was awesome! We made “Tamales”… enough to serve an army! We stayed up until 11 hand rollin’ one tamales after another. Sure makes me appreciate those Tamales I’ve quickly checked out and eaten from Trader Joes!

So, the idea is each week ONE person is the teacher. We rotate throughout our group each week so everyone gets to teach AND learn.

If it’s “your night”, you get to pick your topic you’ll be teaching others “how to do.”

The first night we started off with, “Candle Making with Kim!”

Following this night, we’ve experienced:

* Crocheting with Mom
* Creating Love Cards with Nance
* Making Hats with Val
* Body Herbal Scrubs with Laur!
* Indian Cuisine Night
* Tamales with Paloma

The teacher brings the supplies for everyone. We have “guest appearances” on some nights to add to the excitement!

We share not only a new skill but our thoughts, feelings and what’s going on in our lives.

The most rewarding part of the experience though is the human connection of being together.

At the end of the night, we leave with a home-made “something” .. usually something useful or something we can give away to someone else to brighten their day.

Continuing the connection of coming together each week has enriched our creative spirits and makes us feel alive.
